Working together

We believe open, honest communication keeps projects clear and relationships straightforward

Budgets and estimates

Creating an estimate takes time — we take a close look at your business, competitors and goals so we can plan an approach that fits. Being open about budget helps us shape the right solution from the start.

Our estimates are valid for 30 days and include both time and expenses. They’re based on the clarity of your project brief, so it’s important that the brief is precise and agreed by all relevant stakeholders.

If the brief changes significantly, we’ll pause and discuss any adjustments to the estimate. We avoid surprises — all changes are agreed upfront.

If your project requires a purchase order, please share the PO number before we begin so invoicing runs smoothly.

Payment

For new clients, substantial projects or work involving third-party costs, we usually request a 50% deposit before starting. This will always be discussed and agreed before the project is commissioned.

Invoices are payable within 30 days of issue unless otherwise agreed. Bank or transaction fees are the client’s responsibility, and VAT will be added at the applicable rate.

Free-pitching

We believe in the value of thoughtful, collaborative design — work that is built on a deep understanding of your business, audience, and goals. Free-pitching undermines this process, as it often demands speculative work based on limited engagement and incomplete briefs. Creating the kind of quality design we stand for requires time, research, and collaboration, which isn’t possible under these conditions.

As a rule, we don’t take part in free-pitching because it compromises the standard of work we deliver and the relationships we aim to build. That said, we recognise that in rare circumstances it may be unavoidable. In those situations, we review opportunities carefully and may make exceptions at our discretion.

Confidentiality

Trust and discretion are central to our partnerships. We regularly sign NDAs, which take precedence over this clause.

We will not share any information you provide unless legally required or instructed by you. If sharing with a third party is needed, we’ll request your written consent. For more details, please see our privacy policy.

Quality of content

High-quality work relies on clear instructions, accurate content and timely feedback. Any content you supply should be correct and approved by your internal stakeholders.

We can accommodate changes, but extensive revisions caused by unapproved content may affect timelines and budgets.

Ownership of design work

Our work remains our property until all invoices are settled. Please don’t use, copy or publish any designs until payment is complete.

Our fees cover the final deliverables, not the underlying working files. If you require editable files, please let us know at the outset, as this may affect costs and timescales.

Licenses and copyright

All assets we use — including stock images, footage, music and typefaces — are appropriately licensed. Specific details can be provided on request.

We respect copyright laws and expect the same in return. Any assets you supply must not infringe on copyright.

Promoting our work

Showcasing completed projects is important for our business. If you prefer that we don’t feature your project, this must be agreed before we begin.

By default, we don’t promote work intended for private or internal audiences. If we see an opportunity to share it without compromising confidentiality, we’ll seek your approval first.

Ending our relationship

Either of us may end the relationship with written notice. Any work completed up to that point, along with any external fees or contracted services entered into on your behalf, will need to be paid in full.

If you need files from past projects after our relationship ends, there may be charges to cover the time and costs involved in recovering and transferring them.

Limitation of liability

We cannot accept liability for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from our services or these terms.
